Introduction of Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek
Ghorepani itself is a village in central west Nepal at an elevation of approximately 2874 meters (9429ft) within the Annapurna conservation area. Poonhill is a hill station of Ghorepani village with fascinating views of the Annapurna massif range and Dhaulagiri mountain range, situated in Myagdi district sharing a border with Kaski district in Gandaki Province of Nepal.
Ghorepani Poonhill is a must-visit place to observe the panorama of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himalayas ranger and the beautiful sunrise and sunset that gives the feeling of heaven on earth. It is a mythic package for any trekker who loves to enjoy the scenic beauty including the cultural diversity of Gurung and Magars. A warm welcome of Gurung and Magars is too enjoyable as well as trekkers will have a huge impression of this region as trails travel through the rhododendron forest, terraced slopes, paddy fields, and lush vegetation. It also allows us to enjoy the hot springs at Jhinu after a few days’ hikes.
It is one of the perfect destinations to observe the Rhododendron flowers, especially in spring, showcasing different colors from March to May. Additionally, bushes and grass flowers blossom in August and September, signifying distinct features for each season.
